Chemical Peel

Today we will talk about chemical peel treatments we have at Medispa; How it works, what can it be used for, and what kind of people it is advisable for.

We will start with something that is very important to know first about a chemical peel: we recommend here at Medispa Javea (Alicante) It is only advisable in the winter months, until April. This is because  there is a great risk of pigmentation and/or skin burns. A chemical peel is not a treatment that we can do often, you normally, depending on the skin type have to wait at least 2 weeks between the first and second peeling treatments.

What is it for?

A chemical peel helps remove those pigmentation marks,  wrinkles, acne scars and other cosmetic problems of the skin. It will improve the appearance of skin, eliminating different layers of the epidermis, this produces renews of the layers of the skin, making a more youthful look, with fewer wrinkles, and spots.

For what kind of skin is it recommend for?

The chemical peel is not suitable for all types of skin.
The skin which is best suited for this kind of treatment is skins with acne scaring, skin damaged by the sun,  pigmentation problems, wrinkles, sagging skin. A chemical peel is a wonderful way to restart a dull skin, giving a look of a more youthful glow.
The chemical peel will gradually reduce all these problems.
It is not advisable for skin conditions with psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis or some type of eczema.
We all want so we recommend having a completely free consultation to start the process of having skin like you have always wanted it.

The skin may appear red at the end of the treatment, this is completely normal and will go after a few hours. It is very important after each peel to apply sunscreen to avoid ultraviolet rays, as the skin is left unprotected and sensitive for a few days.
